My first tour was of JOBSTER. It seemed very similar to other employement related sites out there, but I had never actually taken a close look at this one. They cater to job seekers and employers looking to hire. Job seekers can not only look online for work, but they can post their resumes online which is very handy for potential employers...a huge benefit to a job seeker. Emloyers advertising on JOBSTER also benefit from this site in that JOBSTER targets markets employers are specifically searching out. JOBSTER makes it a lot easier for employers to narrow searches and find the potential employees that deserve a second glance.
I also checked out NOTELY. This site is a huge help to students of all ages and education levels. I wish this site had been around when I was in college. It's probably a site I would actually use on a regular basis. It's an organizer, to-do list, calculator of grades and class averages, note keeper and so on. Obviously students, or maybe even anyone else who needs more organization in their life could definitely benefit from this. I was very impressed with this site. I haven't seen anything like it before.

Ok, I love my chickens...is it that obvious??
Okay, I admit it...I love my chickens. I do believe they are the happiest chickens on the block, too! I got my chickens when we bought our house back in May. They are about six months old now and are experiencing their first rainy season. Needless to say, they seem to prefer basking in the sunshine over trudging through the rainy, wet crap. I try to make it up to them on harsh weather days by giving them extra cracked corn or scraps. I know it sounds crazy but, believe it or not, it seems to brighten their little chicken day!
My chickens are considered "pets" if you hadn't noticed. We keep them for egg production and they're just fun to have around. "Peep," my favorite little chicken, greets me by running straight to me and proceeds to follow me around the yard speaking "chickenese." Peep is a Rhode Island Red. We also have Doris and the "Fab 4" who are also Reds. Evelyn, Adaline and Rooseter Cogburn are our 3 Americanas. Finally, we have Buffy, our Buff Orpington. Together they lay anywhere from 6-9 (brown and green) eggs a day on average.
We also have 2 dogs who seem to also enjoy "farm life." Sadie, a 6 year old Golden/Springer Spaniel, does a great job of herding the chickens when necessary. Meg, our 8 week old Boxer/Black Lab/Collie mix, hasn't quite figured out the chickens yet. She seems a little intimidated by them. The chickens are bigger than she is, so naturally, they are not afraid of her.
Hopefully, I've been able to shed a little light on my joy of chickens and "farm life." We kind of enjoy a simpler way of life and doing some things the old fashioned way. We have also started clearing land for a small vineyard and hope to acquire poultry chickens in the spring. Anyway, I am eager to hear about any of your chicken or farm life stories, too!

Congratuations. I'd say it took a lot of "pluck" to get through, but don't know if that's like a bad word in the chicken community....how about lot's of cluck?
